HFSPO to appoint a new Director of Research Grants

The International Human Frontier Science Program Organization (HFSPO) seeks to appoint a Director of Research Grants. The Director conducts the scientific aspects of the HFSPO Research Grant schemes including application, review and administration in accord with HFSPO policies. The Director is a member of the senior management of HFSPO, working closely with the Secretary-General and the other Directors of the Secretariat. Information on HFSPO is available at www.hfsp.org.

HFSPO Research Grants have a high reputation in the life sciences. They support teams to undertake frontier-extending interdisciplinary research in the basic life sciences. The Research Grants are selected following rigorous peer review of the highest quality with support from leading scientists from around the world.  The Director of Research Grants must be capable of upholding this standard.

Applications are welcome from scientists from any HFSPO Member country.

Primary job responsibilities include:

The position is held in Strasbourg, France, and assistance with removal costs is available. Appointments are for 3 years, renewable. A competitive salary will be offered.
