The first HFSP fellow to receive the Louis-Jeantet Prize

HFSP cordially congratulates Elena Conti, Director of the Department of Structural Cell Biology at the Max-Planck Institute of Biochemistry in Munich (Germany), on being a co-recipient of the 2014 Louis-Jeantet Prize for Medicine for her outstanding contributions to understanding mechanisms related to RNA.

In 1997, Elena Conti was awarded an HFSP fellowship to work at Rockefeller University in New York. She is the first HFSP fellow to receive this prestigious prize. In 2002, she was also a co-investigator on an HFSP grant to study protein glycosylation.
