HFSP Alumni news: Mu-Ming Poo profiled in Nature

Mu-Ming Poo spends part of his time at Berkeley and part in Shanghai as director of the Institute of Neurosciences. In this Nature profile "Neuroscience in China: Growth factor", he talks about his ideas on carrying out top scientific research and about the current situation and future perspectives for science in China. Mu-Ming Poo was part of an HFSP-funded grant team with Tadashi Uemura (Kyoto, Japan), Barry Dickson (Vienna, Austria) and Liqun Luo (Stanford, USA) on "Axonal and dendritic patterning: regulation of Rho GTPases". In addition, he has trained 5 HFSP postodoctoral fellows.
