By public transport from the Altis Grand Hotel and downtown Lisbon

We recommend the metro and train as the best way of getting from the conference hotel to the CCU. Walk down the hill opposite the hotel and turn right on the Avenida da Liberdade and walk to the Avenida metro stop (about 5 minutes). Take the blue line to Baixa Chiado (2 stops) then take the green line to Cais do Sodré (1 stop). At Cais do Sodré take an urban train on the upper level to Algés (Cascais line). From Algés station cross the street towards the river, turn left (you should be facing the river) and walk to the venue, which is less than 1km away. The journey should take about 40 minutes.

You can buy an electronic rechargeable Viva Viagem card from the metro stations, which can be used on the metro, trains and buses.

A taxi from downtown to the venue should take about 10-15 minutes and cost about 10 EUR.

You will find additional public transport information in the CCU Visitor Guide.
