HFSP Matters - Issue 9

Dear Colleague,

We are pleased to send you the ninth issue of "HFSP Matters", the newsletter from the Human Frontier Science Program Organization.

In this issue we provide an update of our continuing efforts towards the sustainable support of data resources in the life sciences. We also report on the 67th Lindau Nobel Laureate Meeting and the 17th HFSP Awardees Meeting together with a brief summary of the special workshop on “The Physics of Living Matter for Tomorrow”, both of which took place in Lisbon.

There is a truly exciting summary of the work of HFSP grant awardees Leif Schröder and Mikhail Shapiro about their work using xenon as a switchable MRI signal. You can also read about the so-called Interstellar Initiative and a new platform for open access video presentation of your research publications.

If you can think of interesting items that matter to the HFSP community or if you want to contribute by writing an article for a future issue, please let us know. You can download the newsletter here.

I hope that you enjoy reading HFSP Matters and look forward to your feedback.

Yours sincerely,

Guntram Bauer
Director of Scientific Affairs and Communications
