The annual Awardees Meeting promotes exchange between scientists from different scientific fields and countries. It is also an opportunity for awardees to report on the work performed with HFSP support. One of the highlights of the meeting is the HFSP Nakasone Lecture. The winner of the 2019 HFSP Nakasone Award will be announced at a press conference at the World Conference of Scientific Journalists on 2 July 2019. Meeting attendees will also have the opportunity to participate in guided tours of local scientific institutes and will be invited to sign-up for these tours at a later date. Social events will be organised for meeting participants on the evenings of Wednesday, 10 July and Friday, 12 July. The 30th anniversary meeting will take place just prior to the Awardees Meeting on 9 July.
Registration for the meeting will open in March 2019. Accommodation and travel Information on the conference hotels in Tokyo and Tsukuba will be made available prior to registration. HFSP awardees are responsible for arranging their own travel and accommodation.

- Long-Term and Cross-Disciplinary Fellows can cover these expenses from their fellowship research/travel allowance.
- Career Development Awardees can cover these expenses from their Career Development Award.
