Ambassador Sandy Moss, the United Kingdom’s Permanent Representative to the Council of Europe in Strasbourg, received HFSPO Secretary-General Pavel Kabat and Deputy Secretary-General Hirokazu Kumekawa.
Prof. Kabat briefed the Ambassador on the history and operations of the Human Frontier Science Program (HFSP), as well as his plans for its future strategy, in particular the new activities including the elements of science diplomacy.
The UK, together with the other countries of the G7, has been a member of HFSPO since it was established in 1989. Prof. Kabat sincerely thanked the Ambassador for the UK’s long-standing support of the Program, adding that he looked forward to many more years of an even more successful partnership between the UK and HFSPO.
