HFSP Celebrates 50 Years of Japanese-German and Japanese-French Scientific Cooperation with New Brochures

In celebration of 50 years of scientific collaboration between Japan and Germany and Japan and France, HFSP released two new brochures highlighting research partnerships between these countries.

HFSP has been a key player in advancing frontier life science research through international collaboration, driving innovative, high-risk, high-reward projects across disciplinary boundaries.

The Japanese-German brochure highlights decades of exchange and HFSP-funded collaborations that have led to significant advancements in molecular biology, neurobiology, and more. Similarly, the Japanese-French brochure celebrates HFSP's deep-rooted role in strengthening bilateral ties, including establishing HFSP's headquarters in Strasbourg, France, as a result of cooperation between the two nations.

Both brochures will be featured as part of the celebratory events for the 50th anniversary of Japanese-French and Japanese-German collaboration at the occasion of the upcoming Science and Technology in Society (STS) Forum in Kyoto, Japan, in October 2024. HFSP's continued involvement in these international collaborations and its role in fostering global partnerships is a testament to its enduring commitment to scientific excellence and discovery.
