HFSPO initiates a global effort to support data resources

The International Human Frontier Science Program Organization (HFSPO) has convened a working group of scientists to discuss the future of life sciences data resources, many of which are crucial to research in the life sciences.

Some data resources face an uncertain future demanding a concerted effort at the global level to remedy the shortcomings in long-term funding. A workshop brought together representatives from data resources and funding agencies to discuss issues of common concern and to plot a way forward.

The outcome and conclusions of the meeting are available in a high profile correspondence article in Nature and the full article is available on bioRxiv.

The complete workshop program is available here.
