2. Letters of Intent for HFSP Research Grants 2011 –web site now open
The web site for submission of letters of intent for the next round of applications for Young Investigator Grants and Program Grants is now open at http://extranet.hfsp.org.
Guidelines are available at http://bit.ly/744gfi.
Important deadlines:
Pre-registration to obtain password (compulsory): March 22nd 2010
Deadline for submission of applications: March 31st 2010

3. HFSP Awardees and Alumni section
a. Congratulations to twenty current or former HFSP awardees have been honoured as Fellows of the American Association for the Advancement of Science. In the biological sciences: Sarah Assman, Ronald Davis, Barry Dickson, Alfred Goldberg, Peter A. Jones, Steve A. Kay, Mark W. Kirschner, Mark Peifer, James Tepper, Willem F. Vermaas; In chemistry: Philip Bevilacqua, Richard Cerione, Martin Egli, Michael Gelb, James McClosky; In medical sciences: Christopher Walsh; In neuroscience: David Amaral, Heinrich Betz, William Catteral and Craig Jahr.
