Presenters will receive detailed instructions to prepare their talks and e-posters and to upload them to the virtual meeting platform closer to the event. Specially prepared PowerPoint templates for the meeting can be used to prepare your slides.
Oral presentations will be selected by the Programme Committee from the abstracts submitted. In the case of research grants, talks will be selected from abstracts with all team members as co-authors that reflect the aims of the collaborative project as a whole. One member of the team (usually the coordinator) should present the work of the team as a whole. In addition, poster abstracts on subtopics within the grant may be submitted. Note that the presenting author must be a member of the HFSP grant team and not another lab member working on the HFSP project. Long-Term and Cross-Disciplinary Fellows and Career Development Awardees are expected to present their work.
Talks will be allocated 10 minutes plus 3 minutes for questions.
You should remember that you will be speaking to a very mixed group of researchers, so please make sure that your presentation is readily understandable to a general, non-specialist scientific audience.
All e-poster presenters can upload a PDF of their poster and a three-minute video presentation to the meeting platform. There are no particular size or format restrictions to observe when preparing the PDF and the video should be in MP4 format. You can download the technical guidelines for preparing the video here.
